    Featuring the World Heritage Site Suwon Hwaseong Fortress as a backdrop, the ‘2016 Suwon Theatre Festival’ at the Haenggung Temporary Palace has reached the final stages of its preparation. The Festival will open with Grupo Puja from Spain which is expected to showcase its aerial performance and acrobatic skills performed in Europe. Gupo Puja’s K@osmos captivates the audience with movement that seems unaffected by gravity, 40m above the ground at Haenggung Temporary Palace Plaza. Passage, a joint-production between Art Flame Hwarang and French Cie Karnavires which is the official performance piece for the Korea-France Year celebrating 130 years of diplomatic relations, will be performed at Haenggung Temporary Palace Plaza. Also, visitors will be able to see other famous European street performance groups including Courageous Words by the French company Quidam which will perform for the first time in Korea. Suwon Theatre Festival will go on for eight days from May 5. Given that May is a month for families, all performances are free of charge and can be enjoyed by everyone regardless of gender or age. detail information > |
