Returning with a best-ever lineup that includes the Song Young Joo Quartet and singer Eli, the ‘2017 Suwon Jazz Festival’ will get under way for two days between September 8 (Fri) and 9 (Sat). Since 2014, the Suwon Jazz Festival has been offering live performances where people can enjoy some sweet jazz music in a comfortable setting near Gwanggyo Lake Park. It’s also a great chance to bring children, who don’t have as many opportunities to come across jazz performances, and let them immerse themselves in jazz music.
The 2017 Suwon Jazz Festival is already gathering some significant attention with its lineup of well-known jazz performers from overseas, the Song Young Joo Quartet, and singer Eli who will be collaborating as a vocalist. As for the international jazz performers, the Festival has invited pianist ‘Iiro Rantala,’ guitarist ‘Ulf Wakenius,’ and jazz vocalist ‘Halie Loren.’ These performers are expected to captivate numerous jazz enthusiasts with their performances at the Festival.
The 2017 Suwon Jazz Festival will be ‘free of charge’ however no chairs will be available. As such, please bring your own chair or seating mat! Also, it would be a great idea to bring some light refreshments and beverages that will go along well with the jazz music! Parking space is limited inside the Gwanggyo Lake Park and the event organizers recommend using public transport.
