'Sweet Haenggung Romance' was conceived as a traditional healing program to vividly blend with cultural elements. It consists of a Hanbok (Traditional Korean Dress) pictorial production, love letter writing, appreciation of fine arts, special night time performing arts etc. with the beautiful view of the world heritage city, Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. The first romance is the "Sweet Haenggung Photo Studio" which is a production of pictorials with a photo shoot by a professional photographer travelling from Suwon River to Hwahongmun Gate. The pictorial is produced as photo cards after professional editing. On top of this, a history mission program is conducted where props for the photo shoot are obtained through various missions with an actor.
The second romance, "Heart Beat! with a Love Letter", is a program for the appreciation of arts at the magnificent structure of Hwahong Gate, one of the 8 attractions of Suwon, also called Hwahong Gwanchang. This involves the enjoyment of traditional performances, traditional biscuits, and writing a love letter on special paper decorated with flowers.The final romance, "Romance of Chastity", is a special night drama performance with Hwaseong Haenggung as the background, a drama performed by reality actors especially produced for "Sweet Haenggung Romance". The collaboration between the quiet & still night Hwaseong Haenggung view and the high calibre performance will surely capture your heart.
Bookings can be made on the Interpark Ticket website but only 10 pairs (2 adults) will be booked on a first-come first-serve basis. The cost is KRW20,000 per person and single bookings must be for 2 persons. The foundation spokesperson stated, "sweet romance in Suwon Hwaseong Fortress where world heritage lives and breathes! I hope many people create memories through "Sweet Haenggung Romance" which overflows with the wonders of Suwon."
