Introduction of Work

Mom is a polar bear, Dad is a grizzly bear, and I am a crossbreed.
As the Earth is getting warmer and warmer and the ice of the North Pole melts, the polar bear who had lost her habitat and hunting grounds started to move down. On the other hand, the grizzly bear who had lost his habitat due to the development of forests by mines and road construction began to move up as the North Pole was getting warmer. This accidental encounter between Mom and Dad led to my birth. Yes, I am a crossbreed. I am a true story far from any kind of fiction or legend. I am a Grolar (Grizzly + Polar) bear.

Introduction of Group

'Theater Company Seoulkedam' was founded in 2011 by the collaboration between visual artist Director You Youngbong and actors engaged in acting and performance creation based on Jacques Lecoq pedagogy. In public spaces such as streets, villages, squares, and specific places beyond the closed theaters, Theater Company Seoulkedam reinterprets the absurd phenomena occurring in modern cities in the form of ghost stories and asks questions to the present time. In particular, the Theatre pays attention to the problems of individuals within the community as well as anxiety and suffering of the alienated people. In addition, the members build and operate theaters, galleries, and shared workshops, by getting deeply involved in the daily life of the local ecosystem, and continue to carry out artistic creative activities allowing them to discover the true meaning of community life.
