Suwon Theatre Festival

Animal stories told by animals (including humans)
Suwon Tapdong Citizen's Farm used to be an experimental farm affiliated with College of Agriculture and Life Sciences of Seoul National University. At the same place, we reflect on living creatures that were used as the subject of the experiment in the past. In the form of book reading aloud, it tells the stories of 'humans' committed to research of processed meat food for the people during the stage of national development as well as 'animals' that had to be tested as the subject of research. The picture books consist of Volume 1 (humans), Volume 2 (bulls/cows), Volume 3 (pigs), Volume 4 (hens), and Volume 5 (escape! animals!). Each one talks about the respective position calling memories of animals that once existed in the experimental farm. 

※ The picture books contain elements that may cause unpleasant feelings, such as the description of slaughter. As a guardian, please inform your child of this fact in advance.

※ The performance of May 22 (Sun) at 16:00 will be given only in the form a 'sound performance' without the presence of actors. 

※ Disabled-accessible for hearing-impaired and mobility-impaired. The elderly & the infirm, and children accompanied by guardians can attend.

'theatre Moon' is a collective theater-creation team that conducts productions by inviting actors, directors, and designers along with playwrights. By combining languages based on imagination beyond the reality, the group creates theatrical works in the form of a story. The guidinglight motto of 'theatre Moon' from 2021 to 2022 is 'Happy Animals, Surrendered Humans.'
