2022 Suwon International Art Project “ONSAEMIRO”

2021년 수원국제예술제 ‘강이 들려주는 이야기’ 행사에 이어, 올해는 ‘이동성_Mobility’를 주제_키워드로 기획하였다. 국내외 20개국 60여명의 작가들이 참가하는 금번 행사는, 수원은 물론 전 세계를 향하여 우리 고유의 언어 ‘온새미로’ (갈라지거나 쪼개지지 않은 원 상태의 순 우리말)의 정신을 담아 진정 나와 우리들 자신으로부터 출발한다. 현재 지구촌의 코로나 바이러스로 인한 아픔과 고통을 넘어서고, 아울러 세계현대미술의 새로운 국면 전환의 강력한 시발점과 미래의 비전이 되기를 희망한다.

2022 Suwon International Art Project, ONSAEMIRO . This year, the theme of the onsaemiro project is ‘Mobility’, It connotes the hope the populace in any country could move wherever they want and enjoy arts in the world.

‘Onsaemiro’ means ‘an original state without cracks’ in a pure Korean word, and it contains all participants who rebel in the festival with delights and the same pleasure. You are able to adore the artistic moments that everybody to be the union; from a person to an area, from an area to a country, ultimately, into the whole world. Passing over the pain and the discomfort due to COVID-19, we will enjoy the various arts in being together in the Suwon International Arts Project 2022, furthermore, we plan a bright future in arts. 60 artists from 20 countries take part in the festival with warm regards. We believe art-lovers in the festival like all artists’ work and diverse perspectives.
