Writer 관리자 Date 2014.08.21 Visit 1746
The Saturday regular performance is held in front of Hwaseong Haenggung(Temporary Palace) Sinpungru(Main gate of Hwaseong Haenggung) at 2 pm on Saturday every week!
The regular Saturday performance is a celebratory re-enactment event that commemorates the sanctification of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress and features various items such as the  court dance, Pangut, a boy dance play, tightrope walking, and the lion dance.
Above all, the special performance is in harmony with the Korean traditional music and paintings that are featured on Saturday on the fourth week of every month.
The stories depicted in the paintings are presented in an enjoyable and easy to understand manner based on the work of Kim, Hong Do and Shin, Yun Bok who are representative painters from the second half of the Joseon dynasty. The painting looks as it comes out from the stage by combining the performance with the dance with regard to the painting. Above all, the highlight of the performance is to do a painting in person on the four cloths spread out long in front of Sinpungru(Main gate of Hwaseong Haenggung). The atmosphere of the old-world temporary palace and the impromptu and fine brushstroke of the painter catch people’s attention.
The tight rope walking performance of Kim, Dae Gyun, the holder of the important intangible cultural property no. 58, is featured on the second Saturday of every month.
Please show lots of interest in this performance.
