The beautiful legacy of King Jeongjo the Great, now a part of Suwon’s future! 2019 King Jeongjo Tomb Parade Reenactment The “2019 King Jeongjo Tomb Parade Reenactment,” the largest and most glamorous royal parade reenactment event in Korea, will begin its journey from Seoul to Anyang, Uiwang, Suwon, and onto the Hwaseong Fortress in October 2019. In particular, the Suwon section will feature a diverse range of events, including a public parade contest, a reenactment of the 220-year-old royal procession to the tomb by King Jeongjo as depicted in the Banchado illustration of the UNESCO Memory of the World :“Wonhaeng Eulmyojeongri Eugye,” performances from professional artists, and a festival-type parade in which Suwon citizens and tourists can participate.
