Movie ‘Sado’ (Diretor Lee Joon-ik) tells the tragic family history of King Yeongjo (Song Kang-ho) and Crown Prince Sado (Yu Ah-in) from the Joseon Dynasty.
Sado reaches deep into the hearts of its audience with breathtaking performances and chemistry between actor Song Kang-ho, also known as the ‘ten million actor’ for his box office appeal capable of selling more than ten million tickets, and rising star Yu Ah-in.
Suwon Cultural Foundation hosts a joint promotion with CGV in time for the box office premiere of ‘Sado’.
The ‘Dwiju’ (grain chest) owned by Hwaseong Haenggung Temporary Palace has been set on display inside CGV’s Sangam theater and Guro theater in Seoul to introduce Suwon Hwaseong Fortress and Hwaseong Haenggung Temporary Palace, which is where the movie was filmed, and to promote the 52nd Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival.
Viewers raved about ‘Sado’ with reviews such as, “Although I knew how the story was going to end, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It’s a movie that keeps your attention right to the end”, “A movie that compels you to focus on every breath of the actors and their emotions.”
