The Children’s Library (Jihyesaem, Seulgisaem, Bareunsaem) will distribute book bundles to students residing within its jurisdiction. The Book Start project, which distributes book bundles, is a social child support project that aims to help children develop reading as a lifelong habit from the early stages of their lives under the motto : ‘let’s begin our lives together with books.’ The Foundation will reflect the purpose of this project in distributing book bundles and carry out programs to follow-up. 

With illustrated books, the project creates a happy relationship between children and parents and provides an environment where children can grow closer to books by experiencing the joy of reading. This plays a vital role in creating a good reading culture in our society. 

Each book bundle will include two illustrated books and a guide. Parents who want their own book bundle, please join as a Library member under their children’s name at the website and visit the information desk on the first floor with ID and a copy of their family register. You can pick your book bundle up every Tuesday beginning on the 20th at the Jihyesaem and Bareunsaem Children’s Libraries, and every Thursday beginning on the 22nd at the Seulgi Children’s Library.

The follow-up program will be available for children who have received their book bundle only. The program will feature sessions for parents to help them understand Book Start, understand the development of babies, and select good illustrated books in addition to fun book games prepared by volunteer activists.
