Suwon Cultural Foundation is set to host the ‘Saem, saem, saem, we love clean water’ event at the Barunsaem Children's Library in celebration of the 25th annual World Water Day.
With this event, the Foundation aims to teach children the importance of water and raise their awareness on issues such as water shortage and water pollution. It also intends to instill the habit of saving water every day.
Various programs including the originals of illustrated environmental story book “No more clear skies,” exhibition of environment-related books, movie screenings, and classes to make mini water purifiers or mini humidifiers will be offered as part of the event.
Meanwhile, ‘World Water Day’ was declared and designated as March 22 of each year by the UN in 1993 in an attempt to stop water shortages and overcome pollution issues, which have continued to deteriorate, and to remind the world of water and its importance.
Additionally, it aims to increase awareness regarding the significance of acknowledging problems related to the supply of drinking water and preserving water resources. It also seeks to enhance participation and cooperation from government, non-government, and private organizations in organizing events for World Water Day. |
