Suwon SK Artrium is set to host ballet performances featuring detailed commentary to help the audience understand the contents of each program.
On August 12, the Korean National Ballet will perform a commentated version of “Don Quixote.” Don Quixote is a love story between Kitri (innkeeper's daughter) and Bazil (a barber) with plenty of twists and turns. The ballet performance will feature commentary for a select number of key scenes. As one of the best-known comedic ballets in the world, Don Quixote brings a lot of smiles and laughs. The overall program is divided into three acts - Act 1: marketplace in Barcelona; Act 2: the tavern; and Act 3: the wedding between Kitri and Bazil.
On October 14, the Universal Ballet will perform a commentated version of its “Special Gala” which combines highlights from a number of well-known programs. More specifically, the performance will feature iconic classical ballet programs such as Swan Lake, Giselle, Le Corsaire, etc. and creative ballet programs such as The Love of Chunhyang.
