From July 2 to September 28 (three months), Hwaseong Haenggung Temporary Palace will remain open until 9:00 p.m. (excluding Sundays and Mondays), and host a variety of permanent programs to give visitors a chance to enjoy the beautiful view of the Palace after sunset.
Visitors can stay at the Palace until the evening and enjoy its breathtaking sights inside the city without paying any additional charges on their daytime admission tickets. Not only that, the Suwon-si government offers a wide range of discounts on admission tickets, so it might be worth taking a look to check if any discounts apply. From July 16, several programs will get under way to give visitors an opportunity to enjoy the Palace in the evening. At the “Illuminating Photo Zones” across the Hwaseong Haenggung Temporary Palace, visitors will have a chance to take some truly amazing photos. For those who want some more insight and substance to their visit, cultural commentators will be on site to offer helpful information and actors across the Palace will reenact a few stories from the Joseon Dynasty era. Another notable program this year is the “Bicycle Taxi” program, where a cultural commentator takes a visitor around the outer wall of the Palace on a tandem bicycle for a full evening tour of the sights.
Period: Every Tuesday to Saturday from July 2 (Tue) to September 28 (Sat), 2019
Opening Hours: 18:00 ~ 21:00 (Last admission at 20:30)
